Fantage is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game involving a virtrual world containing a range of online games and activities, developed by Fantage, Inc. Players are able to customize their cartoon avatars from hair color to clothes and explore a town-like virtual world. Fantage was made available to the general public in April 2008[1] and has since expanded into a large online community.

The game was designed for the ages of 6 to 14. According to its founders, Fantage is focused on child safety.


Fantage took 1 year to be made. It started being planned in 2006. One year after it was made the first users abborted it. By July 2010 the world had over 7.3 million users.


Fantage started out as a self-funded organization but received an infusion of capital by Korean online game company Nexon Corperation, which oversees Fantage in Europe. Initial admission into Fantage is free. Premium membership is required to access the full site including rare clothing items, customization options, and pets.


Fantage currently consists of 11 towns including Pet Town, Downtown, Uptown, Mt. Fantage, Castle, Carnival, Beach with lighthouse, Wizard’s Domain, The Forest inculding Lucky Bob’s Trading Store,Secret Land of Fantage, Creature Area, Oasis and  about 30 games, and 12 shops. Clothing for avatars, pets, and other customization options can be purchased at shops and games are scattered about establishments in each town. Games include memory card games and mission games, which often consist of a quest coupled with a story.
